Wholemeal banana cake

with walnuts and chocolate



3 bananas, very ripe (black peel)

150 g of sunflower oil

200 g of brown sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

2 large eggs

75 g of natural yoghurt

210 g of GALLO wholemeal flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of baking powder

A dash of salt

60 g of black chocolate chips

100 g of walnuts, chopped


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 170ºC

Step 2

Grease a 25-cm-long plum cake mould.

Step 3

Mix in a bowl the oil, eggs, yoghurt, sugar and smashed bananas.

Step 4

In a different bowl mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Step 5

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix with a spatula.

Step 6

Add the walnuts and chocolate chips to the mixture. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the centre.
