BARCELONA, Spain – February 2026 – Grupo Gallo, one of Spain’s leading food manufacturers, has partnered with Chef José Andrés to produce a new premium range of broths in Spain, which will be marketed across the United States under the José Andrés Foods brand. 

Production is currently underway at Grupo Gallo’s facility in Granollers (Barcelona). This project reinforces the company’s commitment to local production and Spanish culinary expertise, leveraging its industrial scale to bring authentic flavors to the international market. 

To achieve a true «homemade» profile, Gallo utilizes its proprietary “Olla Gallo” cooking system. This exclusive technology replicates traditional broth-making at scale using fresh ingredients and precise temperature control. The process is further supported by a circular economy model that optimizes resource use and reduces waste, allowing the brand to maintain competitive pricing without compromising on natural, authentic taste.

The initial launch features three distinct varieties: 

  • Chicken Broth: Featuring 33% chicken—the highest percentage in the category—setting a new industry standard for quality and transparency. 
  • Vegetable Broth: Crafted with fresh onions, carrots, cabbage, spinach, leeks, and celery, slow-cooked with a touch of sea salt. 
  • Seafood Broth: Prepared with 20% shrimp and 5% sofrito for an intense, Mediterranean flavor profile. 

All products are produced in Spain under the “Real Food from Spain” concept, utilizing high-quality ingredients. 

Distribution will begin through regional U.S. retailers, focusing initially on the Kroger Group. The line debuted at Mariano’s in Chicago, featuring an in-store activation and tasting with Chef José Andrés. A gradual expansion is planned throughout the year across other Kroger banners, including Harris Teeter and additional regional brands.
